You can make a difference.
Make a financial contribution, volunteer, or hold a food drive.

  • Become a 300 Club member and support us year round.
Or become a 300 Club team leader by recruiting 12 people, each to give one month of the twelve.
What is a 300 Club Member?   A “300 Club” member pledges to contribute $25.00 per month.  While the holidays are a natural time for gift giving, folks are hungry 12 months a year.  The 300 Club provides us with consistent and stable cash flow.  It really is a remarkable feeling to know you are providing dinner to 12 people every month throughout the year.

  • Volunteer Opportunities

Why volunteer? The simple answer is that it's just a good thing to do – for both your community and yourself.  Making sure people have basic nutrition is incredibly important to their health and wellbeing.  And volunteering at Community Kitchens is a very rewarding experience, which in turn can be beneficial to your own overall health and wellbeing.
With national figures for food insecurity passing the 30-million-people mark, ending hunger seems like an impossible goal.  It doesn't have to be.  By volunteering you can help fight hunger and make a difference in the wellbeing of your community.

  • If you decide to volunteer you or your group could
  • Provide a meal one week per month at one of our sites
  • Help with set up (table, chairs, settings, breads, produce) 9am to 10:30 am
  • Help with cleanup (table, chairs, vacuum, etc.) 1pm to 2:30pm
  • Wrap silverware
  • Provide bread or produce pick ups - monthly mornings
(We secure dated bread and produce that otherwise would end up in the trash from local grocery stores.)
  • Provide entertainment 11:00am to 12:00pm
(Many of our sites play bingo or have music prior to lunch.)

If our hours don’t fit your schedule consider
  • Sponsoring a FAST class (safe food handling) training
  • Writing thank you notes to monthly donors.
  • Helping maintain our FaceBook or website

Many of our meals transitioned to take out during COVID.  Our Woodstock site is currently back indoors.
Please know we will gladly accept your food and product donations with a grateful heart and open arms. Just leave us a message at 860-779-2645. We will return your call within 24 hours to schedule a time to meet you.
